Work to be performed under the MATOC will include but are not limited to the following: Interior and exterior renovations, heating and air-conditioning, HVAC controls, plumbing, fire suppression, interior and exterior electrical and lighting, fire and intrusion alarms, communications, limited utilities, site-work, landscaping, fencing, masonry, roofing, concrete, asphalt paving, storm drainage, limited environmental remediation, construction of new facilities, and other related work.

The work on this contract includes providing general fence construction to include: demolition, earthwork, new fence construction, fence repair, fence replacement, fence removal and all other work associated with fence construction to be performed at Minot Air Force Base (AFB) and associated missile alert facilities (MAFs) and launch facilities (LFs).  Fence types includes installation, repair, correction, and removal of chain link security fence, vinyl fence, and cable beam barrier fence to include all posts, gates and animal barrier   



Perimeter Fence Installation - #FA4528-16-R-0006

The work included all labor, material, and post-hole concrete needed to install 1750 LF of 7’ high chain link fence with barbed wire and outriggers. The installation of (1) 20’ wide double drive gate in location specified in attached drawing.  The removal and replacement of existing cantilever gate with a MAF gate.  The removal and replacement of 10’ of chain link fabric to meet gap requirements. Relocate power panel with gate switch to other side of gate.

The Robins Air Force Base MACC is an Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract for design-build and design-bid-build construction projects, which are specific to and applicable to individual task orders up to $5,000,000. Work consists of a broad range of maintenance, repair, alteration and /or new construction work on various real property facilities. Type of work includes: new construction of buildings and structures; alteration, restoration, and repair of buildings, structures, roads, airfields, grounds, roofs; specialty construction; utilities; and miscellaneous services including remediation/hazardous waste removal.


Repair/Replace Valves Phase #1, Water Distribution Facility 8420 - #180111

The work on this contract includes the cutting/excavation and removal of concrete/asphalt/soil to remove gate valves ranging from 6-12” in size. The valves located on the flight line are covered with 6-12” inches of concrete.  This project also includes the removal of approximately 1,200 square feet of concrete on the transient apron and replace with new concrete that is 14 “thick. The slabs are to be removed and replaced. Each slab is 6-12” thick. Each slab will have an additional 2-8” removed to ensure the depth is at 14” deep.  The compact sub-base will be 95% Modified Proctor. Dowels will be replaced with 14” of quick dry PCC with flexural strength of 700 psi flexural strength concrete including all joint sawing and joint sealing and back to the original elevation. Included is all necessary tie-downs and grounding rods. These slabs are to be 20’ x 20’ x 14” thick. W.R. Meadows 1600 or 1605 curing compound was applied.

Design-Build Repair/Replace Secondary Switchgear & Busduct - #170558 | $642,169.89
The work on this project includes design and construction to provide power from a new substation installed under companion project 1066456 to three (3) new busducts above production floor. Th power will be refed for two (2) existing busducts to new substation installed under companion project 1066456. The individual equipment feeders from the new bus ducts to the end devices will be furnish and installed by others. All bus plugs shall be furnished under this contract.

Design-Build Repair/Replace Unit Substation - #150023 | $2,941,881.88
The work on this project includes design and construction to replace the existing 2500 KVA and 500 KVA outdoor substations at B/140 with new a secondary selective, close coupled, double-ended, walk in, outdoor substation utilizing two 2500 KVA transformers and fed from 12.47KV air switch D-07-09. Temporary service for existing loads will be provided prior to demolishing and replacement of outdoor substations and refeed existing loads that were originally connected to the demolished unit substations to the new double ended substation. The short circuit, coordination and arc flash study for trip settings and arc flash signage for all devices will be provided. 

Design-Build Repair/Replace Transformer T5010 - #1066456 | $1,837,351.07
The work on this project includes design and construction to install new air switch D-07-07A between existing air switches D-07-08 and D-07-07 and replace existing T5010 and associated outdoor substation at B/140 with new a secondary selective, close-coupled, double-ended, walk in, outdoor substation utilizing two 2500 KVA transformers and fed from new 12.47KV air switch D-07-07A. Provide temporary service for existing loads prior to demolishing and replacement of outdoor substations and refeed existing loads that were originally connected to the demolished unit substations to the new double ended substation. The short circuit, coordination and arc flash study for trip settings and arc flash signage for all devices will be provided and shared with project UHHZ170558.

 Design-Build Repair/Upgrade Electrical System - #150058 | $696,124.81
The work on this project included providing power from new substation installed to new switchboards on production floor. The design and installation of a new pipe bridge from new substation to the existing pipe bridge north of B140 and route the electrical feeders on this structure into B140. Install two local switchboards in B140 that will power all the new equipment. The individual equipment feeders from the new switchboards to the end devices will be furnished and installed by the government.

Design-Build Front Entrance/Mezzanine Renovation - #160008 | $731,246.81
Building 140 serves as a maintenance facility for aircraft components. The original building was constructed in 1974. The current requirement is to remove and rebuild the main entrance to the building to include a display area on the first floor and an administrative area on the second floor. The existing conference room will remain unchanged with the exception of changing the HVAC system.
Demolition work includes: Removal of the existing corridor wall and the mechanical equipment over the entrance lobby. Some relocation of existing electrical and mechanical services serving the maintenance bay equipment will be required in order to install the new corridor walls. Removal of the front entrance storefront system, front entrance concrete walk, lettering above entry door, and certain landscaping elements.
New Construction includes: A new corridor and second floor administrative offices, and upgrades to the front entry. Installation of a new entrance canopy over front entry door, a new ATFP storefront system and bollards, new concrete entry walk and new signage. ​
 
Design-Build Open Shelter Storage Shop for Aircraft Operations Support - #170444

This project includes a single sloped roof and addition is to be added to the existing facility. The addition is to extend the full length of the existing building (approximately 160 ft.) and extend approximately 20 ft. perpendicular to the long axis of the existing building 161. Both short ends of the addition are to be closed in with metal panels similar to existing building exterior wall panels. The long end of the addition shall be fenced (chain link) with gate access approximately every 18’ or between each vertical support. Gate access openings shall be wide enough to accommodate a forklift. The grass area to the East of the existing building is to be filled in with concrete paving and to serve as the foundation of the new addition. The new addition is to have the height clearance for forklifts to maneuver under the roof. The new roof is to have a lightning protection system that ties into the existing building’s lightning protection system. 


Repair/Replace HVAC in Bldg. 169 in Room 162 - #160340

The work on this project includes demolition and removal of the entry door and frame, sections of the existing CMU wall, and the abandoned water line piping and valve.  The new construction includes the installation of a new Make-Up Air Unit, ductwork and controls, new entry door and frame, CMU wall repair and patching, and a new concrete entry ramp.


Building 327 Renovation - #130180

This project was a complete repair and renovation of Building 327, along with a 3,400 SF Damaged Roof Deck Replacement and Installation of Ceramic Porcelain Wall Tiles.  The exterior work included the removal of unpaved surfaces, installation of a new ramp and concrete paving along the adjacent street.  Building 327 consisted of a storage, break, bath and multiple rooms to support operations.  The existing interior building systems and finished were completed demolished and replaced.  The new systems included Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Protection and Mass Alarm Notification System.  All interior/exterior finishes such as ceiling fans, doors, windows and cabinets.  The exterior roof, skylights, vents and fans were removed and replaced.
 

Construct Storage Warehouse - #160136

Building 353 Addition - #150216

This project included the construction an addition of approximately 5,000 square feet to the West side of building 353. The new addition was constructed of a steel main frame with girts, purlins and metal panel cladding similar to the existing building. Exterior walls shall be R-19 insulated with roof insulated to R-30. Metal panels shall be installed on the lower 10 feet on the interior side of the exterior walls. An overhead clearance (min. 18ft) for installation of a future bridge was provided.  A break room for personnel was also built. The room was constructed with metal studs and gypsum board walls and acoustical tile ceiling. An overhead coiling door for access to the building was provided.

Design/Build Building 189 Repair/Renovate Interior Room - #130286

This project was a complete interior renovation and replacement of building systems.  The work included the removal of existing carpet, rubber base, doors and door frames. Closed the opening with CMU sized to match existing CMU so the opening is flush with adjacent surfaces. Removal existing CMU to install new welded hollow metal door frames with 4” frame head and 2” jamb for new insulated wood doors. Completely remove existing acoustical ceiling tile and grid and replace with 2’ x 2’ x 5/8” square edge coated acoustical ceiling tile and new 15/16” ceiling tile grid. Install new punched metal studs at 24” on center with structural tracks, boxed headers at door openings, double studs at door jambs, grommets, bushing, etc., 5/8” gypsum board, 4” rubber base, 12” x 12” x 1/8” thick static resistant vinyl composition tile. Extended new metal studs 12” above existing and new ceiling and diagonally brace opposite sides of wall at 48” on center. Installed hold-down clips on new ceiling tile in PPE Change Room. Installed new 3’-0” x 7’-0” x 1 ¾” thick insulated wood door, other two new doors to be 3’-0” x 7’-0” x 1 ¾” thick insulated hollow metal doors with 8” x 36” clear wire-mesh glass view windows in a 2” hollow metal welded door frame, lever handle hardware, closers, 12” high kick plates both sides, one and one-half pair of 4 ½” x 4 ½” stainless steel ball bearing hinges per door, three silencers per door. Installed two new compartment stainless steel sinks with gooseneck faucet with wrist blade handles with wall mounted wire shelving above sinks. The existing water, drain and vent lines were connected to two new sinks. Removal of FA/MNS/PA devices and installed new devices required by UFC, NFPA. Installed new light fixtures, light switches, duplex outlets, comm outlets. All required new switches on existing CMU walls, surface mount conduit and switch, paint conduit and switch box matched adjacent wall finish. Installed a new HVAC system that provides positive air pressure in both rooms of the new PPE Change Room.



Wetlands Learning Center Renovation - #F16PS00306

The scope of work included providing design, construction, engineering, superintendence, labor, materials, equipment and installation for the following work: A renovation of the HVAC and controls systems located in the Prairie Wetlands Learning Center (PWLC) Building at the Fergus Falls WMD (Wetland Management District), Fergus Falls, MN. The PWLC consists of three connected buildings; the Dormitory Building, the Visitor Center Building and the New Education Building. The total square footage of the PWLC is approximately 35,120 SF; which includes: The Dormitory, approximately 10,112 SF; the Visitor Center Building, approximately 15,360 SF; and the New Education Building, approximately 9,648 SF. The Dormitory Building is used as a dormitory for students. The Visitor Center Building is an office/visitor center building with a few classrooms in the lower level.

The New Education Building is made up of classrooms for elementary education. The existing HVAC plant is composed of five Hydrotherm MR-300 natural gas boilers; a Lattner 354-LW-208-10, input 325 KW, 208V, 3-phase, 1104 MBH electric boiler; Thirty-eight (38) Trane fan coil units; VAV boxes; a Trane 555-ton chiller; MAUs; AHUs; CUHs; UHs; EFs; fin tube radiation; and in-floor perimeter heating in the Education Wing. The HVAC system is to be upgraded to a geothermal, vertical well ground source heat pump system with high efficiency condensing natural gas boilers; qualifying for the dual fuel rate under Ottertail Power Company’s Controlled Service, Interruptible Load Meter, Large Dual Fuel program. Parts of the existing HVAC system, hydronic piping, ducting and electrical wiring are to remain; but the controls system is to be replaced in entirety.
 
 
Rehab Campgrounds - #P17OS02172

 The scope of work includes replacing and improving the water distribution system at the Cedar Pass Campground located at Badlands National Park to include supplying and installing 16 new water fountain/jug fill stations. The project also included the reconstruction of several of the existing walkways with concrete per current allowable ADA standards, as well as construct new concrete walkways to provide access to the 16 new water fountains/jug fill stations. Work was phased as necessary to minimize service interruptions to campground users.
